Eligibility Criteria
Students must be either in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a degree at Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary are eligible. In addition to that, they must meet the eligibility requirements listed below to be eligible.
- Both domestic and international students are eligible.
- A minimum GPA of 2.60 is required to be eligible.
- Completed a minimum of 24 units of academic course work;
- Involved in extracurricular activities, demonstrating a well-rounded personality.
- Showcase a financial need, demonstrated through the online application.
Application Process
Students admitted at the University of Calgary and entering in 2nd,3rd or 4th year of UG study are eligible for Calgary Nathan Shair Memorial Bursary.
Candidates must an external application to be considered for the same.
How to Apply for the Bursary?
Step I: Access Student Centre in myUofC portal available at the University of Calgary Official website.
Step II: In the Student Centre section, click on the "My Financials" page.
Step III: Click on the Awards & Scholarships section, and click on "Apply for Undergraduate Award"s.
Step IV: A pop-up window will open on the screen with a number of applications for the different scholarships. Choose Calgary Nathan Shair Memorial Bursary application.
Step V: Complete all the details of the online scholarship application and submit the same.
Selection Process
After the submission of the application for the Calgary Nathan Shair Memorial Bursary, applicants will be shortlisted by a panel of selectors at the University of Calgary.
Selection for the recipients of the bursary will be based on the following factors :
- Academically meritoriously
- Financial need of the students
- Extracurricular activities and leadership qualities
