MSD International Scholarships 2020

MSD International Scholarships 2020 is provided to international students with excellent academic records. It is funded by the Melbourne School of Design at the University of Melbourne.

The Melbourne School of Design offers the following Scholarships under MSD International Scholarships 2020:

  • MSD Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong SAR, India, Singapore Scholarships.
  • MSD Merit Scholarships;
  • Dean's International Scholar;
  • MSD Latin America Scholarships;
  • Melbourne Graduate Scholarships.

This scholarship is available to students enrolled in any of the 1-2 years Master's programs offered by the Melbourne School of Design.

  • The MSD International Scholarships are available for the students who are beginning their academic study in the year 2020.
  • Students will get an amount between 10, 000 AUD to 30,000 AUD, depending on the MSD International scholarship program they are selected for.

Separate applications are not required, however, applicants must submit academic scores, personal statements, and portfolio for consideration.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the MSD International Scholarships 2020, students must have a brilliant academic and extracurricular record. Apart from that, applicants must meet the eligibility conditions listed below:

  • Students must be from one of the following countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong SAR, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, and Argentina.
  • Must meet admission requirements at MSD.
  • Must commence study in a 1-2 year full-time master's level coursework program offered by MSD. Eligible masters programs are:
  • Must have a subclass 500 visa, or its equivalent as required by the Department of Immigration.
  • Must meet the mark of satisfactory academic performance each year to sustain scholarship.
  • Must involve in promotional activities at Melbourne School of Design.
  • Must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above; TOEFL: 70 or more (iBT); Pearson Test of English of 58+; 176 or more on CAE.

Application Process

MSD International Scholarships 2020 does not require a separate application, as students are selected on the basis of merit. They are required to submit the following documents for the same.

  • A Design Portfolio
  • A personal statement of upto 500 words
  • An architecture or engineering degree at bachelor's level with at least an average of 65% marks.

Only the brightest international students will be considered for any of the MSD International Scholarships 2020.


Selection Process

Melbourne School of Design Scholarships is awarded to international students who show excellence in academics. Academic achievements and personal statements along with the portfolio are evaluated to make a decision.

The selection is made on the basis of the Highest Ranked Entry Score, which is calculated by the University of Melbourne according to its parameters.

After analyzing the overall strength of the admission application, students will be offered any of the MSD International Scholarships 2020 suited for their program needs.


Grant Details

International students who wish to pursue higher education in Australia at MSD are eligible for MSD International Scholarships in 2020.

They must commence studies in an eligible program to receive the scholarship.

Recipients must note that they must meet satisfactory progress in academics to continue receiving the scholarship for next year.

FAQ

Ques. Can the MSD International Scholarships be deferred?

Ans. Scholarships available for the academic year 2020-21/22 should be accepted in the same year, i.e. 2020. It cannot be postponed for another year.

Ques. Will sponsored students receive the MSD International Scholarships?

Ans. Students sponsored only by their country's governments will be eligible for the MSD International Scholarships 2020, with the exception of Dean's International Scholar Award.

Ques. Is the professional experience necessary for selection?

Ans. As an architecture applicant, Students are expected to show portfolio or work experience for courses in Design, it will fortify the application.
