Macquarie Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship Program

The Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is awarded to recognize academic excellence for international students. The scholarship is merit-based and awarded to incoming students at Macquarie University.

  • Students must enroll in either UG or PG programs at Macquarie University.
  • Maintain a full-time study at the university.
  • External applications must be submitted for consideration.
  • University offers limited awards under Macquarie Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship Program.

Recipients will be selected based on their scholarship applications, academic background, and ELP scores. Selected candidates will get 10,000 AUD which can be used against tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria

International students who want to secure Macquarie Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship must meet the eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Applicants must apply for either UG or PG programs offered by Macquarie university
  • Must meet academic and English requirements at the university.
  • Achieve a minimum of ATAR equivalent of 85 for Undergraduate applications.
  • Achieve a minimum of WAM equivalent of 65 for postgraduate applications.
  • Maintain a full-time study at the university.
  • Meet the University’s Academic progression policy.
  • Recipients of other scholarships at the university are ineligible.

Application Process

Candidates are required to complete an online course application form at Macquarie University. Once the application is processed, a student number is provided which is required to submit scholarship form.

Supporting documents like Passport, Curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and ELP scores are mandatory.


Selection Process

The selection committee at Macquarie University will evaluate the scholarship applications one-by-one.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their responses in the scholarship application, academic scores, and ELP scores like TOEFL.


Grant Details

International students who want to pursue higher education in Australia at Macquarie University must apply for this scholarship.

The scholarship amount upto 10,000 AUD is given to the recipients of Macquarie Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship Program.

Recipients must note that if they withdraw from the coursework at any time, they will have to repay the scholarship amount to the University.
