New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship

New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship, introduced by Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), is offered to international students enrolling in a full-time course undergraduate degree program at the university. Recipients of the scholarships receive 1,000 EUR is given in the first year of the study.

The scholarship applies to students pursuing bachelor’s programs at GCU only.
It is available for the self-funded undergraduate international students only.
Students will be automatically considered if they are offered a place to study at GCU.
New to GCU Undergraduate scholarship is renewable up to 4 years based on recipients' academic performance.
Recipients must not be recipients of scholarships like Chevening scholarship, Commonwealth scholarship, etc.

The scholarship amount is used for a tuition fee waiver only, the recipient has to arrange for the expenses of accommodation, travel, books and stay in the UK at the university.

Eligibility Criteria

New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to motivate incoming undergraduate students of the university. While the university doesn’t have any stringent eligibility requirements, there are a few general requirements which each applicant must fulfill:

Self-funded international student, planning to complete the UG degree without external sponsorship.
Meet the undergraduate admission requirements at Glasgow Caledonia University.
Offered a place for their chosen course, and at the time of invoicing for each subsequent year.

Only those students who fulfill these basic requirements will be considered for the GBU scholarship.

Application Process

The university doesn’t require any separate application form for New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship. Applicants will be considered based on the details provided in the application submitted for admission.

Therefore, the application process of the scholarship is the same as that of undergraduate admission.

Selection Process

Recipients of New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship are selected by a panel of judges including respective faculties at Glasgow Caledonian University. The following factors are taken into consideration during the selection procedure:

Offer of admission from the university

Receiving payment

Selected students will 1,000 EUR towards their first annual fees and 1,000 EUR for each subsequent year of their degree.

Grant Details

New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to international students who wish to study in the UK at GCU with some financial assistance.

Tuition fee scholarships are not transferrable in case the students change the course without prior authorization from the scholarships team. The scholarship applies to:

Only the self-funded students can apply for tuition fee scholarships.
