Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship

Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship is offered to Indian students, currently studying in high school. Under this scholarship, two students are offered an opportunity to pursue a bachelor's degree in any top-ranking university in the USA.

Recipients are awarded a scholarship amount of 1000 USD.
Separate scholarship applications must be submitted before June 1, 2023.
Submission of a video essay is mandatory for all applicants.
Selection notifications will be released by August 1, 2023.

The primary aim of this scholarship is to help Indian students to opt for studies in the USA. The award is given solely on academic merit and financial need.

Video Essay Guidelines

Each question must be answered by video and shouldn’t be longer than 90 seconds:

What is an aspect of your identity that you believe has played a fundamental part in defining or shaping who you are?
If you were to take a gap year what would you do?
Tell us about an accomplishment you are proud of.

Instructions

Candidate can capture the video using a smartphone, computer, video camera, etc.,
The video should be a short video (less than two minutes) that should respond to the Essay prompt above.
The way to answer the prompt is completely dependent upon the candidate.
The candidate should state his first and last name at the beginning of the video.
The candidate should upload the video to YouTube.com and should provide a link to the private video to the foundation
They will receive a confirmation for the "Received" video, if they don't they must resend it.

Selection Process

The Foundation conducts the selection process for the Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship. Factors affecting the selection decisions are

Recipients will be awarded with 1000 USD and will be notified by August 01, 2023

Grant Details

Applicants must be entering their First year of Undergraduate studies in a USA-based university
Only two students are awarded each year, so it is very competitive in nature.
Students must be of Indian origin, International students cannot apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship amount can be used for tuition & fees and for other expenses.

The Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship is specially designed to help students of Indian origin, who are wishing to pursue their higher studies in the USA. It is a type of internal award and is not government-sponsored.
