Financed by the Microsoft corporation, the Microsoft tuition scholarship is a great opportunity for undergraduate students with unexceptional intelligence and have shown a passion for Computers or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related subjects. 

  • The candidate should be pursuing a 4-year undergraduate course. 
  • The number of scholarships awarded in this programme varies every year 
  • All International students are eligible 
  • All scholars will receive either partial tuition or full tuition fees covered for one academic year 
  • Candidate should be pursuing a course in any of the following fields: 
  • Computer Science 
  • Computer Engineering, or 
  • A STEM-related subject 
  • English proficiency is required for International Students from IELTS or TOEFL.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Microsoft Tuition Scholarship, make sure you meet all the necessary requirements: 

  • The candidate must be enrolled for a full-time undergraduate course in the United States of America, Canada, or Mexico at the time of application. 
  • As the scholarship is merit-based, the candidates should have a cumulative GPA of either 3.0/4.0 or 4.0/5.0 or equivalent. 
  • High School students who have been selected but not enrolled for an undergraduate course are not eligible for this scholarship. 

Documents Required 

At the time of application, the following documents have been submitted along with your scholarship application: 

  • Academic Transcript of the previous semester or CGPA mark sheet 
  • IELTS or TOEFL 
  • Proof of Citizenship 
  • Letter of Recommendation 
  • Essay 

Application Process

To apply for the Microsoft Tuition Scholarship, follow the following steps: 

  1. Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements before applying. 
  2. Applications for this scholarship are done through an online portal. Complete the scholarship form and submit it before the deadline

Selection Process

All the scholarship applications are reviewed by the selection committee at Microsoft. While selecting, the following factors are taken into consideration: 

  • Academic qualifications: Semester Scores, Cumulative Grade Points Average, etc. 
  • Application: Quality of Application is considered 
  • Essay: Your essay should demonstrate your passion for software technology and how you will work on it in the future 
  • Interests: Candidate’s interests and vision in STEM or related subjects 
  • Financial need: Applicant should be in need of a financial assistance 
  • Extra-curricular Activities: Sports, Active participation in University Events 

The decision made by the Microsoft selection committee is final


Grant Details

The Microsoft Tuition Scholarship cover partial or full tuition fees of the candidate for one academic year. 

A one-time payment is made to the respective University by the Microsoft Corporation. This amount is not transferable to any other academic institution.
