Victoria University Future Leaders Scholarship

Under Victoria University Future Leaders Scholarship, students commencing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework are offered tuition fee waivers. Recipients of the scholarship are granted 20% tuition fees reduction for first 2 semesters at Victoria University and 10% reduction for remaining semesters (depending on confirmation of ongoing eligibility).

Some other significant details regarding Victoria University Future Leaders Scholarship program are mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria

A student seeking admission to a higher education diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate course at Victoria University, in any area of study other than those under VET, is eligible to apply for the scholarship, provided that they agree to certain other terms and conditions:

  • Must pay the remaining amount of the full-tuition fees applicable to international students.
  • Must not be receiving financial assistance through any other scholarship or sponsorship.
  • Must not have transferred from a course to another one with advanced standing.
  • Must maintain a 60 course WAM in order to continue receiving the benefits of Victoria University Future Leaders Scholarship
  • If the student has come to an agreement with the University to do a reduced study load, they will receive a reduced scholarship amount.

These conditions are applicable to students not only doing on-campus courses, but also to those doing Digitally Supported (DSR) learning at VU from outside Australia.


Selection Process

While submitting an online application for admission at VU, students will get an option to allow themselves to be considered for the scholarship. Once they confirm and submit, the University will first check their eligibility to the course, and then for the scholarship.

Students are assessed on the basis of their:

  • Academic record
  • Status as an international student
  • Financial support

Grant Details

Victoria University wishes to financially support international students through a variety of scholarships. The Future Leaders scholarship is a tuition fee waiver of 20% for the first two semesters, upon successful completion of which they will be considered for the 10% fee waiver in the remaining semesters.

There are also different opportunities provided to international students by the Australian government and by the governments of their home countries, most of which, if qualified by the student, come into effect when the course is commenced in 2023.
