Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships

Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships are merit-based programs awarded to academically outstanding students who are going to pursue their bachelors degree at Mount Allison University. A total of six students are awarded under this scholarship program.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements for Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships are quite simple and straightforward:

  • High-school graduates with outstanding academic standing.
    • Must have taken Grade 12 Math
    • Must have a minimum of 55% in all courses taken
  • Commencing bachelor's degree at Mount Allison University.
  • Demonstration of a minimum English language proficiency with one of the following test scores:
    • Minimum TOEFL score of 90 (minimum subsection score 20)
    • Minimum IELTS score of 6.5
  • Exhibit strong academic ability, leadership capability, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, and work experience.

Application Process

While there is no requirement for a separate scholarship application, there are a few documents which applicants have to submit. The following documents are required while applying for Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships:

  • Three letter of recommendations
  • An essay (the question will be emailed to you once the application for admission is submitted)
  • Proof of English language proficiency

The application deadline for the upcoming scholarship program is March 1, 2023
