The Henley Business School offers education in business and management-related fields from the undergraduate to the PhD level. Besides being highly reputed for the quality of education offered, it offers over 1 million GBP in funding for PG-level students through various Henley Business School Postgraduate Scholarships.

  • These scholarships are available to students enrolled in masters-level business, management, finance, planning, real estate and accounting programs.
  • The scholarships are awarded to exceptional students with brilliant academic profiles.
    • A few scholarships are also awarded based on financial need.
  • The scholarship amount for varies for each funding program:
    • Masters in Management Scholarship: 5,000- 10,000 GBP
    • ICMA Finance Scholarships: 5,000- 10,000 GBP
    • Reading Real Estate Foundation: 10,000 GBP
  • International applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to have IELTS scores of 6.5 to 7.0 to qualify for the scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible to apply for the Henley School of Business- Postgraduate Scholarships students are first required to have an offer of admission to a PG level program at the institute. Additionally, international applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 7.0 and above to qualify. 

The program-specific eligibility criteria for different scholarships are mentioned below:

  • Business & Management Scholarships: Any students with a valid offer of admission to a masters level Business Management program at the Henley School.
  • Masters in Management Scholarships:
    • Enrolled in the Masters in Management program or the Masters in Management (International Business) program.
    • Have a 2.1 undergraduate degree or its international equivalent (60% for Indian students).
    • Possess relevant work experience in the form of previous employment or internship.
  • Finance Scholarships at the ICMA Centre: Available to UK/ EU/ international applicants enrolled in Finance related masters-level programs at the ICMA centre.
    • Have a 2.1 undergraduate degree or its international equivalent (60% for Indian students).
    • Have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above with no element below 6.0
  • Information Management Scholarships: Available to students enrolled in masters-level business technology consulting and Information Management & Digital Business programs are eligible to apply.
  • Accounting Scholarships: Students enrolled in masters-level accounting programs at the Henley school will be considered for the award.
  • Reading Real Estate Foundation Scholarships: These scholarships are available to students enrolled in the Masters in Real Estate, Masters in Real Estate Finance, Masters in Rural Land & Business Management and the Masters in Spatial Planning & Development program. Students with demonstrated financial need are considered.
  • MSc Planning Scholarship:
    • Students enrolled full time in the MSc Spatial Planning & Development program will be considered for the scholarship.
    • Applicants are expected to have an upper second class undergraduate degree.

Application Process

In order to apply for the Henley Business School Postgraduate Scholarships students must first receive a formal offer to admission to Henley B-School to any eligible masters level program.

  • Students may then submit a separate scholarship application to the Scholarship Team.
  • The Scholarship Team will forward the applications to the Scholarships Panel.
  • If a student receives an award he/ she must accept the scholarship within a specified deadline.

As a part of the scholarship application form, students must provide the following details:

  1. Name and Email ID
  2. University of Reading ID number
  3. Answering the question in 3500 characters: Explain how you will use your year of masters study to achieve your short term career aims

The Scholarships Panel considers each application received on a case by case basis. Scholarships are awarded based on an applicant’s academic history, work experience and in some cases demonstrated financial need.


Grant Details

The terms and conditions which need to be followed by all students accepting a scholarship from the Henley School include:

  • Students with multiple scholarship offers may accept only 1 of the scholarships. It is up to the student as to which scholarship he/ she wants to accept.
  • Students who are alumni of the University of Reading may be eligible for a tuition discount of 1,500 GBP on top of any scholarship received.
  • These scholarships may be availed to obtain a tuition reduction only and do not cover living expenses. Students are therefore required to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover their cost of stay and living in UK, while pursuing masters level education.
  • The institute defines a deadline within which all students offered a scholarship must formally respond to the offer failing which the scholarship offer may be revoked.

The scholarship will only become active once the applicant has formally enrolled at the institute and paid the enrollment deposit. Students must submit their completed applications before the specified deadline for applying to a particular scholarship.
