The University Trust Graduate Scholarship, formally known as UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship, is a funding opportunity for international students enrolled in a postgraduate level program at UCSI University. The scholarship program is applicable to all masters and doctorate degrees by coursework, research, or mixed-mode

Eligibility Criteria

Students who wants to be considered for UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship award, must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • An international student in a full-time postgraduate study at UCSI University
  • Level of Study: Enrolling in a masters or doctoral program by coursework, research or mixed-mode.
  • Academic Qualification:
    • Masters Applicants- Possess UG degree with at least a CGPA of 3.3 ( on scale of 4.0)or its equivalence.
    • Doctorate Applicants- Possess a master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Good academic standing with an excellent academic record.
  • Endorsed and recommended by faculty, Supervisor, and Head of Department.

Application Process

Applicants who meet the above eligibility criteria are required to access the UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship application form. To complete the application, students must provide the following documents and details:

  • One passport-size photograph
  • Academic history and qualifications
  • Passport number
  • Proposed research project (300 words)
  • Statement of Purpose (750 word)

It is pertinent to note that incomplete application will not be considered. Furthermore, the institution offers the scholarship program around the year, therefore, eligible students have multiple deadlines to apply for the UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship


Selection Process

The selection for UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship is solely based on an applicant’s academic merit. The selection committee reviews applications and responds to shortlisted students via email within 7 days after the submission deadline.

The Shortlisted candidates are called for a small interview session, before the confirmation and subsequent award of the scholarship. The date, time, and venue of the interview will also be communicated via email only.


Grant Details

Recipients of the University Trust Graduate Scholarship should note that they are responsible for the fees and cost NOT covered by the scholarship. These include but not limited to housing, medical plan payment, thesis fee, lab and studio session fees, registration fees, etc

Furthermore, UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship award is neither transferable nor exchange for cash.
