The Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) Scholarship Program, offered by the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP), is awarded to students belonging to developing countries studying courses in sustainable energy development. Annually, 6-8 students pursuing master’s level studies in the USA, UK, Canada, etc. are recognized under this scholarship program.
Recipients of Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) Scholarship must return to their home country after completing their studies abroad and contribute to their country’s development.

In order to become eligible for the Sustainable Energy Development Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the given criteria:
Note: Students who have already received full funding for their studies and those who have already received scholarships to cover their tuition fees are not eligible for the scholarship.

The application process for 2020- 2021 will start from January 2020 and the deadline for the application is Mar 06, 2020.
Students who have not received their admission letter can also apply but they will have to send the admission letter by email to scholarship@globalelectricity.org before April 17, 2020. The application will not be considered if the candidate fails to send an admission letter by April 17, 2020.

Other criteria are also considered while selecting eligible students. Academic Panel consists of representatives of notable academic institutions who will review the applications and select the deserving candidates for the scholarship.
The selected candidate will be contacted by the selection panel in May and their names will be posted on the website.

The amount offered as scholarship goes up to 21,000 USD per year and it can be awarded for a maximum of 2 years. It is eligible for universities of USA, Australia, Canada, UK, etc.
