Brian Le Lievre Scholarship

Brian Le Lievre Scholarship is an initiative taken at the University of Waterloo to recognized academically outstanding students pursuing higher studies at the university. Brian Le Lievre Scholarship is applicable for selected UG engineering programs at the University of Waterloo.

  • The financial help of 2500 CAD is offered to the two selected students.
  • The scholarship is privately funded by the donations of Brian Le Lievre.
  • Students will be automatically considered by the respective departments.
  • It is a one-time scholarship amount, awarded at the beginning winter term.
  • Applicants must have completed the 2nd year in the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering programs.
  • The latest deadline is yet to be announced.

Instead of a separate application, the students enrolled in the specific courses will be automatically considered by the University of Waterloo.

The selection is based upon the academic achievement of the students at the University of Waterloo. Students must maintain a score of 80% on their recent results.

To secure Brian Le Lievre Scholarship at the University of Waterloo, prospective applicants must fulfill the eligibility requirements listed below:


Application Process

Students registered under the faculty of engineering at the University of Waterloo and completed the second year of Civil, Architectural or Environmental Engineering will be are automatically considered.


Selection Process

Brian Le Lievre Scholarship is merit-based. Selection will be based upon the applicant’s academic performance in the last 2 years of the UG study.

Students scoring more than 80% in their campus aggregate will be given preference by the selection committee.

Students pursuing engineering programs in one of the top universities in Canada, University of Waterloo can apply for Brian Le Lievre Scholarship.
