University of Birmingham Introduces Chancellor’s Scholarship for PG Students in India; Details Here

New Delhi: The University of Birmingham has recently launched a scholarship program titled "Lord Karan Bilimoria (Chancellor’s) Scholarship" for Indian students who wish to apply for admission to postgraduate courses at the university campus.

As per the University of Birmingham, interested candidates can now check detailed eligibility criteria and other scholarship details on the official website at birmingham.ac.in. To be eligible for the program, candidates need to have a first-class degree or equivalent CGPA of 7 out of 10. 

In addition to this, candidates must have received an offer of admission from the university for the master's degree program starting in September 2023. They are also required to meet the eligibility criteria and must be a habitual resident of India at the time of application. 

Informing about this initiative, the official statement reads, "The scholarship is only open to Indian students applying for postgraduate study programs at University’s campuses in Birmingham and Dubai. Candidates must have a valid offer of study from the university”.

Under the University of Birmingham Chancellor’s Scholarship 2023, shortlisted candidates will be provided with a full tuition fee waiver as well as the cost of university accommodations. They will also be eligible for four additional awards of £5,000 (awarded as tuition fee discounts).

To be eligible for £5,000 awards, applicants need to have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living and must have visa/travel expenses for studying in the UK or Dubai. For fee waiver, they need to have sufficient funds to cover any additional cost required during the course duration. 

The official website informs, "This is an exceptional opportunity for outstanding individuals who have overcome challenging circumstances to achieve academic excellence and who can demonstrate innovation that has the potential to solve some of the complex challenges facing both the UK and India".
