Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) decides the occupations in the list based on the needs and requirements of UK businesses. A shortage in jobs indicates that there aren’t enough UK natives to fill in the positions required by the specific sector. Employers do not have to apply for the resident labor market test to hire for jobs on the list.
