why studying in this college will be good

SS
6.5 /5

My course is Fraud and Risk Management which is a specialized subject. The University of Salford was the only university in England to combine the subjects of 'fraud' and 'risk management' as a master's. Other universities only offer an MSc in Risk Management.

Course Curriculum :

Well designed and relevant to the changing times. We had Industrial Placement as one of our core modules which gave me an opportunity to work in a foreign country.

Exams :

The University of Salford accepts CBSE English scores secured at 10th Std/ 12th Std as a substitute for IELTS. This may be applicable only to certain courses. Please refer to the eligibility criteria section while applying.

Placement :

The University provides work placement/internship support to the students. I have received this support to do an internship with Salford City Council (UK local government).

Internship :

The University provides work placement/internship support to the students. I got this support to do an internship with Salford City Council (UK local government). It was an unpaid internship but it gave me a lot of exposure and I excelled in my final thesis because of this internship.

Events :

The campus is large and there are many clubs to enroll in. Most exciting to me was the Indian society. It was the best way for me to keep in touch with Indians who were students at the University of Salford. The library is three-tiered and very comfortable for study. The best part is that it was open 24*7 for our use.

Fees :

There is a £15,000 program fee.

Scholarship :

Yes, I got the Salford Business School Post Graduate Excellence Award for £3500. The application process for the scholarship is separate and opens only on a particular date. So keep a close eye on the university website and apply for the scholarship before the deadline.

Faculty :

Each module has 2 professors. Module-wise Faculty to Student Ratio defers. I've attended classes where there was 1 professor for 8 students and 3 professors for 120 students. Very approachable staff and truly subject matter experts in their fields of study.

Hostel :

I stayed outside the campus. I shared my house with 6 other people where we used to share a single living room and kitchen. Another viable option would be to try for student rooms using the website spareroom.com.
