Ranked in the top 50 law schools globally and in the top 10 specifically in human rights. The Essex brand works wonders for those who want to pursue a career in the field of human rights.

Course Curriculum

9

The course is one of the most advanced courses offered anywhere in Europe, offering a wide range of modules within human rights that would be considered niche and unique – such as artificial intelligence and business in human rights.

Exams

IELTS 8.5, and 65% overall in Bachelor's degree- B.A. LLB Honours. No additional testing is required.

Placement

9

I am currently enrolled in a law reform project with the Essex Law Clinic - a partner organization of the Law Commission of Britain and Wales. In addition, there is also an exclusive Human Rights Law Clinic which partners with several international NGOs and UN bodies to collaborate on research projects and provides real-time work experience and lots of networking opportunities to the students as well as several skill developers training received.

Internship

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events

The campus is serene and has all the facilities a student could want. It is located in Essex away from the fast paced London life but offers peace for those who are inclined towards such a serene experience. It was an ideal place to study during covid.

Fees

£18000 without scholarship cut.

Scholarship

Yes, I have received the Academic Excellence Scholarship for International Students. No separate application was required. This should be a part of the SOP itself.

Faculty

10

The faculty boasts of ex UN Special Rapporteurs such as Dr Ahmad Shaheed to prof Noam Lubell- a pioneer in international humanitarian law.

Hostel

10

University offers a wide range of accommodation options on campus with different price points and facilities to suit every student's budget/lifestyle. Rent could range from £120-250 pounds per week depending on what you choose.
