Well, Swansea has a good ranking with regard to Electronics and communications. Furthermore, the locale was something that was really important to me. Pursuing engineering is a tedious task hence I needed to be situated in a place that was away from all the chaos. Thus, Swansea is where I chose to be. Lastly, nothing beats Welsh people. There is no racism and everyone is accepted the way they are.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum and academics are top-notch, with the incorporation of visiting professors from several dignified institutions coming to teach us a certain topic at which they excel. Furthermore, the syllabus is in line with several top-ranking universities hence applying to another university for a master's or Ph.D. course after passing out of Swansea should not be a problem.
Exams
My scores: IELTS 7.5, Foundation 2:1, the university required a minimum of 6.5 for IELTS and an IB score of 32.
Placement
I have no clue about this as I have not opted for or searched for research opportunities/placements with the help of the university.
Internship
No, I have done an internship, however, it was not done with the help of the university.
Events
2 campuses, one for engineering and business-related courses, whereas the other, is for medicinal sciences. Wide range of extracurricular activities. Early, there is a welsh varsity which is a competition of a wide variety of sports between Swansea and Cardiff.
Fees
£19000 is the program fee.
Scholarship
No, I didn't receive any scholarship.
Faculty
Student to faculty ration is 11. The faculty is outstanding.
Hostel
Accommodation is a swift process, with a wide variety of rooms of all sizes available. There are many student accommodations that are provided by the university, however, these get booked super quickly, hence I stay at a private student accommodation which is located 3 km away from the engineering campus. State-of-the-art facilities and you get rooms ranging from 90 pounds per week to at least 210 per week if you are looking at a higher range.
