I chose Imperial College London because it is one of the leading institutes in the world when it comes to engineering and some research projects in the bioengineering department really grabbed my attention

Course Curriculum

10

The course is very well updated with relevance of the subject and in some aspects gives the students a prospective approach as well. Combined with lectures the research experience as a Master's student is very enriching and rewarding

Exams

My score: IELTS 8.0; Class minimum score: 7.5 with 7.0 or above in each section

Placement

8

Research and Job opportunities are aplenty but tough to get into being an international student. No such thing as campus placements exist, the students need to find and apply for jobs. Large companies usually begin recruitment in October and end their first round by December or January with final rounds occuring in May or June

Internship

No

Fees

GBP 34000

Scholarship

I received Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation scholarship and J.N. Tata Endowment Scholarship. Both required submission of an LoR and SoP along with a technical round interview. Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation scholarship had an additional round of interview.

Faculty

10

The faculty to student ratio is roughly 1:30 and they are very proficient and experienced with the topics they teach. They are very helpful and approachable. Dr. Nick Linton and Joseph van Sherwood-Batenburg are two professors who have left a lasting impact on me.

Campus Life

Campus life is happening. Infinite clubs exist and events are happening throughout the week. State of the art research labs and multiple cafes on campus and amazing network throughout.

Hostel

9

I rented a studio outside the campus and the costs are quite high in London. If tight on budget choose to stay in zone 3 or 4, but commute will take an hour or so every day
