The BA (Hons) in Criminology provides a unique vantage point to study crime and justice in a society transitioning from conflict.
Criminologists are interested in how activities come to be defined as ‘criminal’, and why definitions and responses to crime vary over time and place.
The subject includes a broad range of perspectives on understanding crime and criminal behavior, and examines various methods in the prevention, policing, and punishment of crime.
The course also considers how and why people move away from crime, ways in which this might be facilitated, and offender reintegration.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

A minimum of a 2:2 Honours Degree provided any subject requirement

Indian students eligibility:

Applicants must have the following qualifications to be eligible for direct admission:

Three A levels
Between 30 and 36 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to their Bachelor's degree programs.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A-Level).

Applicants will normally need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to 6.5 IELTS or 90 TOEFL IBT (Internet-based test). However, some degree programs have higher or lower requirements.
