- Master of Science in Environmental Science at the University of The West of England is a 5 years program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
- This course gives students the knowledge and practical work-based skills for a career tackling some of today's most important environmental challenges.
- Through a practical, hands-on approach that runs through all the modules, students will gain exposure to the skills and technology employed at the forefront of environmental science.
- Students get the benefit from the well-equipped analytical and computer laboratories, glasshouse and dedicated field centre.
- Assessement take place using a mix of coursework and exams including unseen, open-book and practical exams, essays, practical reports, individual and group projects, oral and visual presentations, case-study analysis, taxonomic collections and problem-solving exercises.
- If students choose the six year (sandwich) course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
- Students get the oppertunity to work with leading employers, such as the RSPB, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Environment Agency, MoD, Kew Gardens and Tongariro Natural History Society in New Zealand.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants need two A-levels or an equivalent qualification such as:
- A BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma
- International Baccalaureate
- Irish Highers
- Access to Higher Education Diploma
- Students also need one A-level, or equivalent in foundation Courses.
- International students have to successfully complete the required level and with good attendance, guarantees entry to Year one of the degree.
Indian Students Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Students have to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Students must complete a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate – Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB: English Language with 70%. This qualification must have been completed within the last three years.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

- Personal Statement - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying in a minimum of 250 words.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.
