- Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of The West of England is a 1-year program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
Students must have the following requirements:
- Active first-level registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional register.
- 120 credits at Level 2 or above.
- To get onto the course, students need to secure a secondment opportunity or a studentship, supported by a fixed-term contract from an employer.
- To secure a sponsored or seconded place from an NHS Trust or other employer, all students will need to have successfully completed an in-depth Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and have a satisfactory Occupational Health status.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
Career and Placement after Course
Students will need to already be working in an appropriate placement setting and on successful completion of the course will be able to:
- Register with the NMC as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
- Register as a Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber
