Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Acting at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
BA(Hons) Drama and Acting is for those who love performing live and appreciate a challenge. Students will develop their performance skills through core modules in acting for stage and screen, and physical theatre.
There aren't any lectures or written exams, students will be taught through three-hour workshops.
In the third Year, students will devise, produce and act in a final year show, with an emphasis on performance.
If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
Students are assessed through live and filmed performances, portfolios of writing, written reflections, presentations, and essays. Every performance will be double or triple marked.
A mix of traditional and hands-on learning environments helps students quickly take on essential knowledge and skills, standing them in good stead for their professional career.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
