Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.

This course is an institutional member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD).
In this program, students will learn from practising graphic designers in a professional studio environment.
This course prepares students for an idea-driven, sustainable, and flexible freelance practice, or studio career in graphic design.
The core modules of the program include:

- Communicating with Words and Images
- Critical Perspectives
- Professional Practice and Work Experience 1
- Exploring Graphic Design Process
- Creative Analysis
Students will spend 36 to 40 hours per year engaging with industry-related projects.
Assessment take place through projects, essays, group presentations and visual presentations. There are no exams.
The role of the graphic designer in society and the professional world is multifaceted, designer as curator, author, craftsperson, editor, educator, collaborator, and agitator.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 112
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
