- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Children and Young People) at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.

- Through this program, students will learn about the importance of a holistic and relationship-centered approach to nursing care, and how students develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with people in diverse cultural contexts.
- Children's nurses are in demand across the UK in a wide range of specialties, so many exciting career paths will be open to students.
- Students could work in a hospital or in areas such as school nursing, health visiting, and children's community nursing for the NHS, or for private or voluntary sector employers.
- The course includes attendance in classes and online directed learning.
- During the timetabled blocks of the course, students will study full time between 9:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, except bank holidays.
- On placement, students will be working full time (37.5 hours), participating in shifts over a 24-hour period, including nights and weekends.
- Students will continuously be assessed on their clinical practice throughout the course.
- University also makes use of a mixture of written assignments, case studies, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), project/portfolio work, timed examinations, and presentations.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- UCAS Tariff points: 112
- GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature and Mathematics.
- A-level subjects: Grade C or above in a Science or Social Science subject.
- Baccalaureate IB: A minimum Grade 5 in a Higher Level Science or Social Science subject.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
