- Bachelor of Science in Paramedic Science at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
- It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.

- This course was jointly developed with the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SWAST). It's also approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), so students will be eligible to apply for registration to work as a paramedic once they graduate.
- Paramedics are multi-skilled professionals who work as part of frontline NHS ambulance teams, responding to acute medical or traumatic emergencies.
- Through the program, students will develop the interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills students will need to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Paramedics are in demand across the UK and there are exciting career options in both emergency and urgent care teams.
- Students will learn through a mix of lectures, scenarios, discussion groups, seminars, workshops, student-led activities, and skills teaching with demonstrations.
- The course runs for 34 weeks, 16 of which students will be on placement.
- Students will use different assessments to gauge their knowledge and skills, including coursework, case studies, online exams, group work, placement assessment, objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), and structured oral and practical examinations (SOPE).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- UCAS Tariff points: 128
- GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics, and Science, or equivalent.
- A-level subjects: Grade B in a Science or Social Science subject.
- Baccalaureate IB: A minimum Grade 6 in a Higher Level Science or Social Science subject.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
