Master of Arts in Graphic Arts at the University of The West of England is a 1-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
This creative and experimental MA in Graphic Arts brings together graphic designers, illustrators, and individuals from related industries to engage with communication design practice at a deeper level.
The core modules of the program are:
- Introduction to Graphic Arts
- Research Practice
- Analyzing Practice in Graphic Arts
- Developing Practice in Graphic Arts
- Extended Practice in Graphic Arts
Students learn up to date technical skills in design for print, web, motion graphics, and fabrication.
Students may join the course either full-time or part-time. A semester is a period of study and generally runs from September to January and February to May/June.
The course is delivered on two main days a week and students typically study for three semesters over 18 months.
Students will be assessed by a combination of practical and written work at the end of each module.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should complete an undergraduate degree, but applicants with other qualifications or professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
Highly motivated students with skills and experience in graphic design, illustration, or related subjects are eligible to apply for the program.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Students have to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Students must complete a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate – Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB: English Language with 70%. This qualification must have been completed within the last three years.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
