- With a focus on issues such as public services policy, youth justice, and politics, as well as on planning your future career, ÊtheÊPublic Service (Top-Up) (Hons) program offered by the Anglia Ruskin University will further the academic knowledge and work-based skills you have gained from previous courses. In the final year, students will also undertake a Major Project in their own chosen area of public service.
- Thanks to our close links with fire and ambulance services, the police, the Prison Service, HM Revenue & Customs, and the Armed Forces, they will benefit from course content that aligns closely with current practice, supported by visits from professionals and lecturers with experience of working in public service.
- Students will also have the opportunity to take part in activities that include: a trip to the Lake District involving activities such as kayaking, ghyll-scrambling and abseiling; roleplaying as a casualty in large-scale simulated mass emergency situations for London Fire Brigade; the training of Public Order policing; a trip to Berlin, including a tour of a Stasi prison.
