If a student is interested in a career exploring and understanding the lives of animals, they will be in good company alongside Charles Darwin, Dian Fossey, Jane Goodall, and David Attenborough.
Zoology is closely connected to subjects such as cell biology and genetics. A student could choose to specialize in areas such as animal behavior, wildlife biology or ecology, and conservation.
Fieldwork is an important part of zoology. It is a practical subject and the university will give you plenty of opportunities to learn and practice both in the lab and the field.
In your second year, they will take a week-long field trip to north Devon to experience both marine and terrestrial zoology, the costs of which are included in your course fees.
On the optional field trips, you might experience rutting red deer on the island of Rum; marine biology in Scotland; world-class zoos in the Netherlands; wildlife and ecology in Africa; and diving and marine biology overseas. YouÕll need to pay for these optional trips.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students will need a secondary school or high school graduation certificate with a minimum of 12 years of study.
Students must have transcripts from their senior high school along with their graduation diploma or certificate, and any graduation exam results.
If English is not the students’ first language then they must provide proof of English competency.
