- M.Phil in Nuclear Energy at the University of Cambridge is offered on a full-time basis for a duration of 11 months.
- This is an on-campus and thesis-based program.
- The MPhil program in Nuclear Energy is based in the Department of Engineering and is run in partnership with Cambridge Judge Business School and the Departments of Materials Science and Metallurgy, and Earth Sciences.
- The program consists of 6 compulsory courses in nuclear technology and business management, and 4 elective courses chosen from a broad range of technical and management courses.
- Students have to complete a long research project at the end of the program.
- As part of the project, students will be required to make two oral presentations: a 10-minute presentation on the project motivation and plan, and a 15-minute talk at a dissertation conference taking place a month before submission.
- Students are also expected to attend field visits, distinguished lecture series, and weekly seminars, and are able to benefit from research skills training offered by the department.
- Students wishing to apply for continuation to the PhD would normally be expected to attain an overall mark of 70 percent.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a UK bachelor's honors degree, or equivalent in a related field from a recognized university.
- Students should have well-developed technical skills and a good degree in engineering or a related science subject (such as physics, chemistry, or materials science).
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or C1 Advanced-Grade A or B (with at least 193 in each individual element) plus a language center assessment.
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or C2 Proficiency-Grade A, B, or C (with at least 200 in each individual element).
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, Completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70% or CGPA 7.3+.
