  • Master of Law at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The program is delivered in two stages. Stage 1 comprises four 30 credit modules from the lists of the specialized LLM programs. Stage 2 comprises the Dissertation. 
  • Attendance at classes and dissertation supervision is compulsory.
  • The teaching is very flexible and the modules may be delivered through seminars or a combination of lectures and seminars. 
  • During the program, students will be able to extend their communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Both formative and summative assessment is done in this program.
  • The learning will be supported through e-learning. All modules are supported by Learning Central, a virtual learning environment that is available on and off campus through which students will access a wide range of materials for their modules.
  • If students successfully complete the LLM program they may have the opportunity to continue their legal study through the School’s PhD programme or through the Centre for Professional Legal Studies professional programs.
  • The School of Law and Politics is a research-led School with a reputation for internationally excellent research and high-quality teaching.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants will have a 2:1 class degree or equivalent in Law. Applicants with a 2.2 class degree or equivalent will be considered
  • Students must be qualified in IELTSTOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
  • Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
  • The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
