- Master of Research in Biosciences at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- The MRes helps to improve student's research skills and may enable them to undertake a research project in the laboratory of an internationally-renowned scientist.
- The research organization is centered on four divisions. Each is led by a leading researcher running dynamic research programs:
- Molecular biosciences
- Neuroscience
- Organisms and environment
- Biomedicine
- The program consists of two stages:
- Stage 1 is taken between September and January.
- Stage 2 takes place between February and September.
- Students complete taught modules totaling 60 credits, which can lead to the award of a Postgraduate Certificate in Biosciences.
- Students must complete a practical project (100 credits).
- All students will be expected to take part in an interview, either face-to-face or via Skype.
- The student-faculty ratio of the program is 25:1.
- The program’s overall aims are to provide postgraduates and individuals from industry, from both home and overseas, with the opportunity to undertake research training at two distinct academic levels.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have an undergraduate degree at level 2:2 (or higher) in a relevant biological, biomedical, or bio-molecular science subject.
- Applications will also be considered from candidates who have a minimum of 5 years of relevant commercial experience who only wish to undertake Stage 1 of the Programme (Postgraduate Certificate).
- Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
- Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
- The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
