- Master of Science in Applied Environmental Geology at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.

- Stage 2, which is a 5-month professional project from May to September culminating in a dissertation.
- For the first 7 months, students will complete taught modules and fieldwork at Cardiff University. After this, they will progress onto a 5-month placement in the UK or overseas.
- The teaching methods are a mixture of lectures, practical work, and fieldwork.
- On the course, students will undertake laboratory work in several modules which include standard laboratory tests covering the physical and mechanical properties of soils, and water flow experiments to learn hydrologic and hydrogeologic concepts.
- The assessment methods, depending on the module. These include exams, coursework, presentations, practical assessment, industrial placement, and dissertation (20,000 words).
- About 96% of the School's master's graduates were in employment and/ or further study 15 months after the end of their course.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent, in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Mining, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and related subjects.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
- Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
- The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
