Accredited by the Institute of Physics (IOP), this four-year programme is designed for those wishing to study astrophysics in greater depth than the three year BSc allows.
The course aims to prepare you for a career in industrial or academic research and development, education or other sectors which require a practical, numerate and analytical approach to problem solving.
ÊYou will be part of a friendly and welcoming department currently housed in the QueenÕs Building complex, which contains a wide variety of purpose-built laboratories, lecture theatres and computing facilities.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- 32-34 overall or 6,6,5 or 6,6,6 in 3 HL subjects with 6 in Maths and Physics
- Official transcripts of all the previous school, colleges or universities
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS academic: overall 6.5 minimum with 5.5 in each subskill
- TOEFL iBT: 90 overall minimum with minimum socres of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading and 20 for speaking
- PTE academic: 62 minimum overall with overall 59 minimum in all communicative skills
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- Average of 75-77% in top 4 subjects (not including physical education) in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (Class XII)
