The Agroecology, Water and Food Sovereignty programme offered by the Coventry University has a strong focus on resilient food and water systems, critically-analysed under environmental, socio-economic and political lenses to reflect the broad range of issues that relate to food and water sovereignty and how agroecology can alleviate them.
This course is based on CAWRÕs structural pillars of agroecology, resilience, and water and food sovereignty.
It is different in integrating both the natural and social sciences, providing you with a flexible yet comprehensive learning experience. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the fields of food sovereignty, agroecology, as well as individual and collective human security and well-being that goes beyond the usual research fields of food systems and food security.
Agroecology is the discipline that addresses practical aspects of resilient food production and natural resources management, their environmental impact as well as the governance and socio-economic challenges facing current food and farming systems.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
To enter the course students need to have one of the following requirement:
- A minimum of a second class honours degree in a computing-related subject. Students from graduates in other disciplines (such as mathematics, physics, or engineering) with experience in programming would also be considered on individual merits.
- An unclassified degree plus at least two year’s further study or professional experience in computing-related subjects.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70%.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
