Master of Science in Cyber Security at Coventry University is a 1-year (3 Semesters) research-intensive program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.

The Cyber Security MSc seeks to provide a postgraduate education covering the main theoretical and practical aspects of the field.
The delivery of the program is based on a combination of face-to-face sessions and online learning, with a substantial element of practical hands-on activities.
Students get the opportunity to apply for a placement or internship with companies before or during the project dissertation.
The program modules will be delivered as a combination of lectures, computer laboratory sessions, online learning, problem classes, seminars, discussions and tutorials.
The taught modules on the MSc course will be delivered in a block teaching style.
A 15-credit module will typically have about 30 hours of contact time associated with it. This will include a combination of lectures, small-group sessions, laboratory sessions and support sessions.
The course will also provide the opportunity for recent graduates and early to mid-career practitioners in the computing industry to enhance their knowledge or move into cyber security.
The Cyber Security Research Group has strong links with a number of industries and government bodies, including companies in cyber security and forensics, automotive, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and others.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students will normally be expected to possess at least one of the following:

A minimum of a second class honours degree in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
A relevant professional qualification of an equivalent level.
A lower qualification plus appropriate and relevant experience at a professional level.
Satisfactory independent evidence of working for several years in a position that would normally be occupied by an honours graduate, in a relevant area (such as the IT sector), which would lead to gaining benefit from the course.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70%.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
