- Students will initially follow the first two years of one of the degree programmes on offer in UCL Earth Sciences (Environmental Geoscience, Geology, Geophysics, or the General, Palaeobiology or Environment and Policy pathways in the Earth Sciences programme) but with an additional option of a foreign language elective.
- Students third year is spent abroad at an approved university in Australia, New Zealand, continental Europe, North America, China or Japan. Students will return to UCL for their final year.
- The final title of the degree awarded may reflect the particular choice of modules that students have taken, for example, Earth Sciences (International Programme) (Geology) MSci.
- The number of places available for direct entry onto the International programme is limited and, therefore, competitive. Eligibility to continue will be assessed in both the first and second years of study. Students failing to maintain the required standard will be transferred to the corresponding UK-based MSci or BSc programme.
- Upon successful completion of 480 credits, students will be awarded an MSci (Hons) in Earth Sciences (International Programme).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have an AAB grade. Two sciences are preferred.
- GCSEs: English Language and Mathematics at grade C or 5.
- Students have an IB score of 36 of which 17 points in three higher level subjects to preferably include two sciences, with no score lower than 5.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's Degree at an Indian university recognized by UCL, with an average grade equivalent to UK Upper Second Class.
- The Year 12/Standard 12 Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE or CBSE with five subjects at 95, 95, 95, 90, 90.
- The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results are not required.

- Visa nationals and non-visa nationals whose program of study lasts for more than six months must not attempt to travel to the UK without a valid student visa.
- Student can apply for a student visa to study in the UK if he/she is 16 or over.
- The student should have offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor and should have enough money to support him/her and pay for his/her course - the amount will vary depending on your circumstances.
