- By joining Teesside University’s chemical engineering degree students will be on a path to full registration as a chartered engineer with one of the highest-earning potentials amongst the engineering professions.
- Chemical engineers take science out of the laboratory and into the real world. They turn raw materials into useful products by changing their properties or changing how their properties interact with each other. This course includes an optional year in the industry, at no extra cost.
- The North East is a major center for process industries and this degree program takes full advantage of the University's location by providing with significant practical elements and opportunities to engage with industry. Chemical engineers can be involved in a hugely diverse range of work, from oil and gas extraction to designing and building cleaner nuclear power plants.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- 112-128 UCAS tariff points from any combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications. Examples include A-level, BTEC, Access to HE Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, T-Levels, or the International Baccalaureate.
- Level 3 mathematics.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Applicants must have:
- India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.
- Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).
- Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
