In both programs, students study the central aspects of evidence-based medicine and research and apply these to their specific area of practice or clinical specialty with the aim of enhancing the quality of their individual clinical practice and broader service delivery. Students study three core modules.
A number of modules are shared with other master’s level programs giving many opportunities to mix with students on other programs and share experiences (both academic and professional). The emphasis is on the integration of theory and clinical practice within a multi-professional working and learning environment.
The programs offer a structured and logical progression to learning, with a firm link to specialist area of practice. Students develop an ability to understand how evidence is generated, retrieved, evaluated, and importantly, employed within the practice.
The Evidence-based program, offered by Teesside University, enhances inter-professional learning and directs the focus of learning toward evidence-based clinical decision making. This is in line with the Government’s policy visions to develop evidence-based driven professional practice.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants will have at least a second-class honours (2.2) degree from a UK university or a non-UK equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject. Examples of suitable first degree subjects include any life or physical science, engineering or mathematics.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Minimum of 55% or CGPA 5.8/10 from a recognised Indian university; 50% or CGPA 5.5/10 minimum from the following universities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Jadavpur or Kolkata University.
Applicants must have passed graduation.Suitable first degree subjects include any life or physical science, engineering or mathematics.

Submission of I ELTS scores is compulsory for this program, however, students may submit a P TE score too in lieu of that.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
