- Our professionally accredited three-year BEng Product Design and Manufacture course combines creativity with engineering principles and provides students with all the necessary skills to enter a design facing career.
- The world around us is full of problems, some small inconveniences and other global challenges such as climate change. Product Designers combine a broad range of creative, engineering and manufacturing skills to produce commercially viable solutions to these problems.
- Our course utilises modern technology - from digital sketching through to high end 3D printing, rapid prototyping facilities and virtual reality equipment, to ensure our graduates leave prepared for the modern world of product design.
- Students study a broad range of modules to develop practical design skills and knowledge in key areas including manufacturing, materials, ergonomics, marketing and more.
- Project work is a key part of the course, responding to challenges in a variety of sectors including medical, automotive, packaging, appliances and electronic goods and many more. Projects enable you to take a realistic approach to design, utilising your taught knowledge of manufacturing and engineering principles. You’ll develop products and components that are appropriate for mass manufacture and consider commercial factors.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- For Indian Higher secondary certificate the average grades of four highest subjects will be taken
- Grade XII CBSE or ICSE boards: 84% to 93%
- Grade XII Maharashtra state boards: 84% to 93%
- Other state boards: 89% to 98%
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 with minimum 17 in writing and listening, 18 in reading and 20 in speaking
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 with 5.5 in each element
- PTE: minimum 65 with 59 in each element

The Documents required are:
- Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
- Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education.
- Statement of marks - The marks statement provided by the education board.
- Financial Documentation - The Proof that shows the financial background of the student.
- Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
- English Language Requirement Scores like TOEFL, IELTS,..etc.
VISA & Work Study
VISA
Most international students need a visa/entry clearance to study in the UK. A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a unique reference number given by an immigration sponsor to study in the UK. A CAS number is required for the student visa process. There are two different visas which students can apply for:
- Student route: Students will need a student visa if they intend to study in the UK for more than six months.
- Short-term study visa: The visa can be issued for up to 11 months. Employment is not permitted on this visa.
- Standard visitor visa: Depending on nationality, permission must either be obtained prior to travel or, in some cases, can be obtained on arrival at the UK border.

- Bank statements
- Scholarship letter (if receiving a scholarship)
- Tuberculosis test results
- Criminal record certificate
- Parents or legal guardian letters if they are under 18.
- Recent passport size photograph.
