- The MA in International Relations and Security Studies program lets students develop an advanced academic and policy-relevant understanding of international relations and security, along with analytical skills that are in high demand within institutional politics, NGOs, and lobbying organizations.
- Students will have the opportunity to take specialist pathways, including specializing in selected regions (Europe, Africa, MENA, Asia, or Latin America and the Caribbean), with opportunities for selected study visits, or take thematic specialisms including international governance, modern diplomacy, security studies, or political violence and terrorism.
- The new MA in International Relations and Security Studies explores themes of peace and conflict studies, including:
- war, violence, and security-building between and within states and regions
- tackling WMD, conventional arms proliferation, political violence, and terrorism
- development and operation of international and regional institutions
- past and present transnational challenges in international and regional diplomacy
- contemporary global challenges such as environmental degradation, trafficking/crime, and migration

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicant should have a 2:2 (or above) UK Honours degree or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification and GCSE grade 4 or C or above in English (or equivalent qualification).
Indian Eligibility:
- Indian School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / Standard 12 UCAS Tariff points: 136+ = 80% 120-135 = 75% 96-119 = 70%

- In order to study in the UK on a course longer than 1 year, students will need a Tier 4 visa. In order to apply, students must have an unconditional offer of a place on a course with a licensed Tier 4 sponsor (i.e. the University of Bradford) enough money to support themselves and pay for your course - the amount will vary depending on the circumstances.
All General Student Visa (Tier-4) applicants need to provide:
- a current passport
- the academic evidence stated in CAS
- proof of relationship with parent or guardian and consent if under 18
- tuberculosis test results if from a country where they have to take the test
- financial evidence showing that the remaining tuition fee and an appropriate amount of maintenance or that applicant are fully sponsored (low-risk nationals are not expected to provide this evidence with the application, but the Home Office can ask for it so it is advisable to have it prepared)
- an in-date ATAS certificate, if it is specified in the offer letter that the course requires ATAS clearance
