Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), a State Private University, is located in Guwahati, Assam. The University was founded on March 29, 2008, by the Salesians of Don Bosco and holds the 2(f) and 12(B) Status approvals from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. It is approved by AICTE and also accredited by NAAC with an A grade.
ADBU offers Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in science and technology, computer studies, commerce, management, humanities, and social sciences. It is also a member of the International Association of Universities, Paris; The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. It has three campuses-Tapesia campus, the Azara campus, and the Kharguli campus.

Assam Don Bosco University offers the following Scholarship Schemes to encourage meritorious students to avail of the excellent academic ambiance of the University as well as to ensure equitable access to higher education for economically weaker sections of society and persons with disability. The University has made an amount of Rs 4,67 Crores available in the form of a Merit Scholarship based on the student's performance in the qualifying exam at the time of admission.
