Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering degree of four year duration. 10+2 pass students with science subjects are eligible to take admission in this course. Admission in most of the colleges offering Civil Engineering is done though any of the entrance tests conducted at national and state level.

Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 2 to 4 lakhs in most of the public institutes and 3 to 6 lakhs in private colleges. However there are some government colleges which offer this course at very less tuition fee.

Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the subjects of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics from recognized Boards or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to, with 45% marks. 5% relaxation in marks shall be given to Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe or any rural and under privileged candidates.10+2 (45% Marks) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology.
