Aspirants seeking admission to 4 years Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with 75% marks.

How to apply for JEE Main 2022?

After the candidate fulfils all eligibility criteria, they have to take the JEE- Main for selection. The procedure for applying is given below.

Visit the official website of JEE- Main.
Register for the online application form.
Make a note of the system-generated application number.
Create a password.
Log in again and fill out the form.
Upload scanned images of photographs and signatures.
A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI or Paytm.
Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

How to apply for JoSAA Counselling?

After a candidate qualifies the JEE-Main, they will have to undergo counselling before final selection. The procedure for registering for counselling is given below:

Click on the registration page at the official JoSAA website.
Use the JEE Main application number to log in.
Ensure that your candidate profile is accurate.
Click on ‘Submit changes’.
Fill out your preferred colleges and specializations according to the list of available options.
Lock the selected choices by clicking on ‘I agree to lock my choices’.
Keep a printout of the page for future reference.
After submitting all the requisite information, pay the counselling fees (800 INR) online.
Keep a printout of the application form. It will be needed for verification at the facilitation centre.

How is ECE in IIIT Allahabad? Is it better than NIT Durgapur?

IIIT Allahabad is unquestionably superior to NIT Durgapur. But this isn't to say that NIT Durgapur isn't good.

If you want a career in ECE, don’t go for NIT Durgapur. ECE branch at NIT Durgapur does not have good reviews.
However, if you want to go for an MBA after your BTech, then NIT Durgapur can be a good option.
In the ICT sector, IIIT Allahabad holds a special position for ECE and this institute specializes in the IT sector. I have a few friends at the institute who vouches for the course.

Here’s a brief comparison of the ECE branch at these two institutes.

Check if the college provides good facilities like hostels equipped with a good and stable internet connection, good food, satisfactory infrastructure, and the most important, a good campus placement drive. Both IIIT Allahabad and NIT Durgapur offer above-average facilities. Here is a brief outline of the institute.
