Eligibility Criteria

The learners who have either passed the Bachelor’s Degree Examination of the University of Mumbai in Science/Technology or equivalent Degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto (with a minimum 55% of marks in the aggregate) with the following combination of Subject/s as Major and Ancillary Subject/s are eligible for MSc Biotechnology:

Bachelor’s degree of Science (BSc) or BSc with Honours in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agriculture/Fisheries Sciences/ Veterinary Sciences, Bioinformatics, Applied or other Biological Sciences	12 credits of Chemistry or Chemistry course in at least two semesters
Bachelor’s degree of Science (BSc) or BSc with Honours in Chemistry, Biochemistry	Any Biology Subject for four semesters
Bachelor’s degree of Science (BSc) or BSc with Honours in Physics, Computer Sciences	Biological Science and Chemistry up to Second-year B.Sc.
B.E. / B.Tech. in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Food Technology or other allied biological subjects	With or without any one of the Biological Sciences Subject as the case may be
