December 15, 2021: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has recently introduced a 10-month postgraduate certificate program in cybersecurity for all interested applicants.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) program in the cybersecurity field has been launched to offer in-demand skills and trained talent in the field of cybersecurity. The program is being facilitated by MIT xPRO, a professional education program of MIT and Emeritus in India.
Under this collaboration, students of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka who are interested in the program have the opportunity to apply for the same. The application window for eligible candidates is now open on the official website of MIT at mit.edu.
Referring to the collaboration, the Vice President said, “We are pleased to extend MIT xPRO’s global collaboration with Emeritus by bringing this program to India and empowering professionals to upskill their knowledge to be industry-ready in the field of cybersecurity”.
Applicants who wish to apply for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Certificate Course 2021 must note that the application window will be open till December 29, 2021. Applications submitted after the given deadline will not be considered for the admission process.
Talking about the initiative, Sanjay E Sarma, Vice President for Open Learning, MIT, said, “The need to address cybersecurity issues has increased dramatically. Almost seven in 10 organizations see cybersecurity enhancement as a top priority this year”.
“The MIT xPRO cybersecurity program curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to cybersecurity, focused on both defensive and offensive aspects of the technology” he added.
The program is open for professionals who are interested in information technology and wish to learn about responses to cyberattacks. Those who wish to grow their career in the field of cybersecurity and want to learn about strategies can also benefit from this program.
Additionally, graduates who have prior experience in the IT field and those who are new to this field and want to specialize in cybersecurity can also submit their applications. The program will accelerate the career of participants and will provide high-demand job opportunities.
As per the schedule, the class commencement for Postgraduate Certificate Program in Cybersecurity will start on December 30, 2021. The total fee of the program for all students is USD 3,500.
The program will include live weekly sessions, classes along with lectures by global faculty and industry leaders. The 10-month long program of MIT is specially designed to offer a holistic experience to professionals and participants.
