Kelly Review at University Of Delaware, Newark | Collegedunia

Enjoyed my four years at UD!

K
7.7 /10

Wide range of academic programs and a fantastic marching band. It was important to be able to keep music in my life as well as academics! I was even able to minor in piano while studying neuroscience.

Course Curriculum :

It was a good blend of electives and basic science courses, though I do wish there were more upper-level neuroscience courses to take. We did get to take 2 graduate level courses (I took 3), but it would have been nice to have more even at the undergraduate level.

Exams :

I took the ACT and the SAT

Fees :

Both tuition and room and board were paid by the semester. Other fees included a technology fee and wellness center fee. I may be missing a couple, but they are all on the university's website.

Examination Structure :

Varies by class. In class, exams are typically taken during the class period. Final exams are usually taken during a designated week, though some professors opt for a final to be taken during the last class, or an essay to be turned in at the end of the exam week. There is a reading day between the last day of classes and the first day of finals.

Faculty :

I really enjoyed the faculty at UD. I felt like they wanted me to succeed, and were available for questions and conversations. Plus there was the end of the year bar crawl, and usually, a few faculty would show up (at least to the first bar).
