I liked the location and heard good things about programs. I really liked the location and the small town feel. I have family who went to Old Dominion University and has had very successful careers because of the education they received.

Course Curriculum :

I have really enjoyed the Business curriculum. My classes have been very helpful and have set me up for success in my future. All of my classes are relevant and are tied together in some way to the business school aspect.

Exams :

I took the ACT and scored a 25. I took the SAT and scored 1250 on the three sections. I have not taken any other exams.

Placement :

Job opportunities are great. Old Dominion University has a great alumni network. The alumni go out of their way to engage with students. The school holds several career fairs throughout the year for students.

Internship :

No internships are provided to my knowledge. Students go out on their own to find internships. I don't think this is a bad thing. I wouldn't expect a school to offer internships to students, although it would be nice.

Events :

We have a lot of sports that are a big part of the campus culture. Besides sports, there aren't too many things that are celebrated. I sometimes see events advertised but I'm not really interested so I don't attend. I don't think they usually have a large turnout by students.

Fees :

There is tuition and then room inboard for those living on campus. There is out of state tuition and in-state tuition. I know there were other miscellaneous charges but I'm not exactly sure what those entail.

Scholarship :

I get need-based financial aid. I had to submit income/tax paperwork to FAFSA and I was provided with a certain amount of aid.

Examination Structure :

Exams vary by course. Some exams are all short answer. Some exams are multiple choice. Some exams are a mix. Some exams are simply papers. Some are take home and some are proctored in class. It really all depends on the course and instructor.

Faculty :

I have really like all of my professors so far. They are all very professional and seem to really love what they do. They are always willing to help if needed. They go out of their way to make sure students are learning.

Hostel :

I have lived off campus my whole college career thus far. The residences off campus are much nicer and more amenities. They are also cheaper. It's also a more diverse community with students and outside individuals.
