I like the atmosphere of the all-women college. It gave me a feeling of confidence in my personal and professional life. It also has an autism studies master program, which I want to get into. I know the professors are there for their students. In addition, the small classroom makes it easier for me to learn.
Course Curriculum :
It's easy if you do the work. The professors do not assign any busy work. The homework and the lectures are useful and it is essential to be at every class to add to the lesson. My only complaint is that the course that is offered each semester.
Exams :
I took the ACT with no writing portion. I also took a language acquisition test and math proficiency.
Fees :
Most of the cost like books, health service, and other school-related charges are put onto my student account. All other charges like school supplies, dorm supplies, and personal items come out of my personal income. The most help I get is from financial aid and working off campus.
Scholarship :
Yes, I have received a scholarship and financial aid. My scholarship is based on merit. Scholarships from other organizations from school. I've received financial aid from FAFSA.
Examination Structure :
Some are multiple choice with short answers. Others are long answers questions. It varies in each class. In my social work classes, there are no exams but presentations or major papers. It is graded with the US grading scale. Each 10% interval correlates to an A, B, C.
Faculty :
They are all so helpful inside and outside the classroom. They want to know the students, and for me, it is a great motivator because I don't want to fail them.
Hostel :
I live in an on-campus dormitory. So far, I only had one other roommate. With my school, I get to choose who my roommates were. My school has includes a meal plan with the residency, so I didn't need to worry about food. I bought my personal snacks and supplies to maintain the dorm out of my personal account.
