Because of more research opportunities than I would find in India and it is a reputed college in the USA

The course curriculum is very up to date with how much we need in today's world of computer sciences to be able to succeed in the field with enough knowledge about the concepts thoroughly.

Companies like Amazon, Facebook, Qualcomm, Deloitte etc have visited in career fairs and I've applied to a lot of them for summer internships next year. I'm not sure about the placements that have already taken place and the median salary.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio depends extensively on the class we're going to. The faculty and staff are extremely helpful and there are several teaching assistants always ready to help us with our course material. Miss Katie Deaven, my philosophy professor has left quite an impact on me with her excellent teaching skills.

Campus Life

The campus life is spectacular here. Although I am living off campus, there are events for international students like me every once a month. Other than that, there are other events happening all the time like career fairs etc which are really helpful to attend as a CS student. Clubs and fraternities as well as sororities are also a big thing here. Wi-fi is available on campus at all times which is very good and there is food available in most campus places.

Hostel

I'm living off campus because it is much cheaper compared to staying somewhere on campus. I'm living close to campus for the same reason to access my campus on the go.
