Tejas Sridhar Review at Northeastern University [NEU], Boston | Collegedunia

My experience so far at Northeastern University - One of the best universities in the US

Northeastern University is one of the best universities in the US which has a good curriculum, very good professors and it has the best co-op program which helps students find internships easily. All these factors drove me to accept the offer of admission at NEU

Course Curriculum :

The course syllabus is excellent and updated but some courses are quite heavy and require good programming knowledge and hardwork.

Exams :

My scores: GRE 310 Verbal 150 Quants 160 Writing 3.5; TOEFL 103/120. The average scores of people who got into CS was between 305 and 315

Placement :

NEU provides excellent opportunities for internships and full time jobs. Companies like Amazon, Salesforce recruit many CS grads.

Internship :

I haven’t applied yet for a co-op.

Fees :

Approximately 50000$

Scholarship :

No

Faculty :

Due to covid, the batch size was high. Professor to student ratio is 75:1

Campus Life :

NEU has an amazing wifi connectivity, there is high speed wifi all over the campus. The Marino Recreation Center is an awesome 3 floor gym. The research facilities are also great. The Snell library is the best for studying and has 4 levels based on how silent you want the study space to be. There are a lot of sports that you can participate in.

Hostel :

On campus housing is a bit costly but there are many off campus housing options available near college. Average rent is 575$ per person for a sharing room.
